Regarding the tour experience, it was perfect.  I do not remember the name of our guide, but he was excellent, as was his assistant, who fearlessly threw himself in front of the traffic to protect us.  His English was very good, and he was very knowledgeable and informative.  For me, the highlight of the tour was the Pablo Neruda house, and the guide's explanations.  The large market was also interesting.  The most valuable part of the tour was seeing parts of Santiago that I would not have visited otherwise.  The pace was easy, and there was always time to ask questions.  I had no trouble staying with the group, although at 70 years old, I was at least twice the age of the others in our group.  I would highly recommend your tour to anyone.
